Condo Sales Videos in 2016

The sales video is your most powerful condo sales tool. It's definitely not brochures, though people will leaf through those for the pictures and the headlines. The average person may read one book per year but watch four hours of television per day, so spend more time on making a kickass sales video and your hard work is more likely to pay off. Here are some tips you should keep in mind when making a condo sales video.

Keep the sales video brief but powerful.

Aim to tell the story in 3 to 5 minutes. Within that time, you need to cover the location itself, the general area around it, and the developer responsible for the project. If your sales video gets too long, the odds of people watching it all the way through drops drastically. Aim for a hard cutoff of five minutes, but don't feel terrible if it takes five and a half to fit all that in.

Make sure the sales video can be shared on social media.

How many times do you think people photocopy a pamphlet or brochure and pass it around? Yet if you have your sales video on social media, all somebody needs to do is click "Share". Simple, effective, and way less time consuming for you than burning a million copies of DVDs or Blu-Rays.

Use sound and music to enhance the sales video.

When was the last time you watched a silent movie? Do you plan on watching another one soon? If so, hopefully you understand that you're an aficionado and that most people would answer "no" to both; the feelings and emotions elicited by a sales video can be enhanced by great music. Consider including quotes and sound bytes into the sales video that sound compelling, without telling the whole story. Leave the viewer with excited questions.

Include as much real-world footage in your sales video as possible.

It's nice to have a 3D visualization of a condo tower, and if the property's not yet finished being built then that's the only view you have. But what about spokespeople for the developers, real people who can be quoted about the project? Street views of interesting things in the general area? Don't let your sales video become a cartoon.
